Welder – Levy NYS, Blytheville, AR

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Welder to work at our Levy NYS location in Blytheville, AR. The Slag Pot Welder performs all welding functions for repairing and maintaining slag pots, buckets, ground engaging edges, and other equipment.

$29–$36

6am–6pm, 5 days per week.

• Inspect slag pots to determine necessary repairs
• Examine and document damage prior to starting repair (i.e., written and photographed)
• Operate and maintain all welding machinery and torch cutting equipment
• Recommend the method of repair
• Weld cracks and washes according to welding procedures
• Maintain documents relating to labor and materials used
• Requisition necessary welding rods and gases required for repair
• Repair bucket damage, replace cutting edge on equipment, and repair minor cracks in equipment
• Meet customer service expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate tools (grinding, discs, hand tools)
• Ability to work outside and tolerate noise and temperature variations
• Knowledge of welding materials
• Ability to weld, cut, and fabricate
• Basic mechanical skill and ability to use hands to manipulate tools
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Can climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop for extended periods of time
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
