Summary

Perform various duties such as inspecting and packaging to ensure and promote the efficient and productive functioning of injection molding machines by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Inspect and package products from assigned machines.
  • Ensure that products conform to established specifications.
  • Maintain adequate raw materials, packing supplies, and labels on hand at the machines.
  • Ensure manufacturing work instructions are followed by properly completing process/product checklists accurately and legibly.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow proper safety, quality, production and company procedures.
  • Arrive at work on time and comply with company attendance and tardiness policies.
  • Possess the ability to get along with co‑workers, customers, and company visitors.
  • Obey all rules and perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; or less than high school education with 3 to 6 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Languages & Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to operate a computer preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, and adjust focus.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds; very heavy items may be moved with assistance.
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level is usually very loud.
  • Hairnets, protective eyewear, beard covers, hearing protection may be required.

Hours and Pay

1st and 2nd shift opportunities available. 12‑hour shifts with alternating schedule, 7:00–7:00, every other weekend (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next).
