Production Operator 1 – Memphis, TN (Fill Plant)
Work schedule:
Monday – Friday.
- Operate and monitor production equipment, including filling stations, compressors, pumps, and other machinery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operating procedures.
- Perform routine quality control checks on products, including cylinder inspections, pressure verification, and leak detection.
- Load and unload cylinders and other materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Prepare cylinders for filling by inspecting, cleaning, and labeling them according to product specifications.
- Complete and maintain accurate production logs, inventory records, and other required documentation.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to advance production goals and maintain efficient operations.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
Preferred:
- 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Prior experience with industrial gas production or cylinder handling.
- Prior forklift experience.
