Shift: Monday - Friday (6:00am - 2:30pm)
Job SummaryOperate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the Jabil, Inc. warehouse or production facility, ensuring accurate inventory management and supporting operational flow.
Job Responsibilities- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and stage products for production or shipment.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and other equipment, documenting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Ensure accurate documentation of material movements, including inventory transfers, cycle counts, and receiving/shipping records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored safely.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including counting, labeling, and verifying materials.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize material flow and meet production schedules.
- Report any spills, damaged products, or safety hazards immediately to a supervisor.
- May be required to perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in safe forklift operation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, inventory tags, and safety instructions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
