JOB DESCRIPTION

The Inventory Control Clerk works as a part of our Operations Department in a manufacturing and distribution environment. The Inventory Control Clerk works closely with Quality, Regulatory and Operations departments to become familiar with Work Instructions, Operating Procedures and any other documents that support operational and inventory processes and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels tracks orders and investigates problems
  • Monitors the production schedule for upcoming inventory shipments
  • Contribute to overall profitability by maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing damage and reviewing truck runs for inventory variances.
  • Maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies in all areas of the warehouse and production.
  • Monitor small production inventories for adjustment.
  • Monitor inventory for products ship confirmed putting inventory out of balance.
  • Report any unreconciled or costly stock issues to management.
  • Maintain a list of depleted supplies including shrink wrap, placards, slip sheets, etc.
  • Survey of unusable/damaged products and work to determine disposition.
  • Create inventory reports as requested by management or branches
  • Meet regularly with receiving personnel to prioritize and plan stocking locations for incoming inventory and production finished goods
  • Help to monitor Security and safety standards and training in these areas.
  • Observe for safety violations or hazards and report any unsafe or potentially unsafe working conditions to management immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
  • Learn and participate in Responsible Distribution.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Experience driving a forklift, straight lift and picker
  • Experience in inventory control
  • Attention to Detail
  • Basic Math and Data Entry
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems

    Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction
  • Knowledge of chemicals is a plus.
EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working in areas where hazardous materials are processed and may require the use of PPE. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
