Mechanical Operator – 3rd Shift

The Machine Operator monitors and adjusts production machines in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on efficient machine changeovers and maintaining safe, high-quality production throughout each batch process. The operator supports maintenance activities, ensures materials are available, and completes end-of-day procedures to keep the line running smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and observe production throughout the batch process to identify and report issues promptly.
• Package approved batches and accurately label all finished product containers.
• Stock supplies and label containers of raw materials as needed to support continuous production.
• Use equipment that is in proper working condition and perform routine maintenance on equipment as required.
• Clean, sanitize, and inspect tools, pumps, tanks, pipelines, and other equipment to maintain hygienic and efficient operations.
• Observe all safety rules and procedures while performing duties and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures when working with equipment.
• Handle some heavy lifting as part of daily tasks associated with materials, products, and equipment components.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
• Capability to monitor equipment and production processes and identify issues or irregularities.
• Ability to understand and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and other safety protocols.
• Physical ability to stand on feet for extended periods and perform some heavy lifting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a general manufacturing plant that is smaller in size and temperature controlled for comfort and safety. You will be on your feet throughout the shift, perform some heavy lifting, and work around various chemicals while following strict GMP and safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and sanitation to maintain a safe and efficient production area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.62 - $19.62/hr.
