Production Packaging Associate - C Shift

Location:

4440 S Mendenhall Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38141.

Work Shift:

12hr-C Shift (United States of America).

The Production Packaging Associate is an entry level position, responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products. This position will also load, move material, and operate packaging equipment, and is required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Demonstrates safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
• Demonstrates punctuality and adheres to the work schedule.
• Demonstrates a teamwork attitude by working well and effectively with others.
• Adheres to company General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keeps the work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Monitors conveyor belts and clears bottle jams from lines.
• Picks up dropped bottles from the production floor and places them into designated bins.
• Places discarded bottles into the grinder, if applicable.
• Inspects the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling.
• Performs bottle inspections, such as drop tests for designated lines.
• Immediately escalates all bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues when found.
• Monitors supply levels of packaging materials and replenishes as needed.
• Ensures correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging of product in accordance with specific customer requirements.
• Moves finished goods to designated areas.
• Ensures efficient setup and organization of workstations.
• Maintains inventory levels and restocks supplies as needed to facilitate smooth transitions between shifts.
• Completes other duties assigned by management and adjusts responsibilities based on plant equipment and design.

Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

• Basic mathematical skills are required.
• Basic computer experience.

• Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I within 90 days of hire date.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel, reach out, over and below with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee frequently is required to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
