Overview

The QUIKRETE® Companies, LLC the leading packaged cement and concrete products producer, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Plant Manager for our Memphis, TN facility.

Responsibilities
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
  • Monitor the number of working days each month and the available hours each day to maximize production and inventory.
  • Schedule and hold meetings regarding safety, quality, productivity, and maintenance.
  • Monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Support activities to develop / maintain employee relationships.
  • Expand and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
  • Incorporate plant floor organization and plant cleanliness (5S).
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to production management/supervision.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining an effective organization through selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of all facility personnel.
  • Review general business climate, adjust staffing and materials as needed.
Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Business Admin, Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years plant management experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, motivational, time management and communication skills.
  • OSHA knowledge and experience being on or leading a safety committee.
  • Working knowledge of MS based computer software.
  • Technical aptitude preferred.
  • Fast paced, aggressive work environment, results oriented.
  • A willingness to work on the floor with staff and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
