We’re currently seeking a Loader Operator III to support our growing manufacturing operations with our team on-site in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with Atlantic Track.
This position will support our first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serves as a team lead for a group of Loader Operators Loads and unloads goods from vehicles such as trucks, rail cars, and enclosed trailers
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of the loader, all preventative maintenance, and notification of needed repairs
Moves goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
Utilizes various types of attachments (buckets, forks, spreader bars, etc.) to move materials up to 80 feet in length
Stacks goods in the correct storage bays, follows inventory control instructions
Checks to confirm loads are secure
Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
Executes work orders and documentation in a timely manner
Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards
Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
General housekeeping, organization/maintenance projects, and cleanup of the facility and property
Maintains a clean and safe work environment
Executes assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment (heavy loader, skid steer, backhoe, etc.)High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
Forklift certification
Ability to sit on a powered industrial truck or other loading equipment for an extended period of time Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust Ability to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid state driver’s license with clean recent driving record
Proficient math, English language, and English reading skills
Basic computer skills
Having a good sense of balance
Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
