Your ImpactAs a Manufacturing Planner, you will help keep our manufacturing operations organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently. You'll partner closely with Production Managers, Supervisors, Inventory, and Shipping to coordinate production schedules, maintain accurate documentation, track job progress, and ensure work orders are ready to move through the shop. This role is critical to maintaining production flow by proactively identifying missing information, material shortages, or schedule risks and ensuring the right teams have the information they need to keep production on track.
YourDay-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain production schedules, work orders, and manufacturing documentation
- Update production records, ERP transactions, and scheduling spreadsheets to ensure accurate job tracking
- Monitor production progress and communicate job status updates to production leadership
- Coordinate production drawings, work orders, and required documentation before jobs are released to the floor
- Partner with Production, Inventory, Purchasing, and Shipping teams to support daily manufacturing operations
- Verify materials, drawings, and documentation are available before production begins
- Identify schedule conflicts, missing information, material shortages, or production delays and escape issues to the appropriate leaders
- Assist with inventory tracking, production reporting, and operational metrics
- Support Production Managers and Supervisors with administrative coordination to help improve manufacturing efficiency
- Bachelor's degree required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate production records
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across production, inventory, and shipping teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience working with ERP or manufacturing planning systems preferred
- Manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination experience preferred
