Direct Laborer - Plastics

Job Title

Main Purpose Of Job

To provide support by operating various machines and equipment, in a safe and productive manner.

• Cut, sort, and pack molded parts at the molding machine
• Inspect molded parts before packing
• Assemble molded parts or insert metal castings
• Label cartons and place properly on pallets
• Chop scrap runners, and rejected parts
• Monitor and fill material hoppers/bins
• Count parts, pack bulk sacks, and pack boxes offline
• Clean, sweep, and remove trash as needed
• Remove parts from the molds
• Complete water treatment of molded parts
• Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Self-starter that is able to work in an independent manner.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend the English language, both verbally and written.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and measuring equipment.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends/developments in Quality, Safety, and Environmental practices through regular formal training.

Primary measures of successful performance will be:

• Meets productivity standards, and identifies and resolves problems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintaining ISO certifications.
• Receive zero notices of violation or administrative consent orders regarding environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements.
