We are seeking applications from an experienced Production Manager who can lead safe, reliable and cost-effective production, utilities and shipping operations within a chemical manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for delivering on-time, in-full customer supply while driving EHS, Process Safety, quality, asset reliability, productivity and team capability.
Key responsibilities- Lead daily plant operations, ensuring safe execution, schedule attainment, quality conformance and accurate SAP transactions.
- Own EHS, Process Safety and risk-management activities, including PSM/RMP, MOC, PSSR, incident investigation, corrective actions and audit readiness.
- Develop and lead a high-performing operations team through training, coaching, cross-training, performance management and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean, 6S and Kaizen initiatives to improve yield, throughput, reliability and conversion cost.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS and Commercial teams to resolve operational issues and protect customer delivery.
- Oversee utilities and equipment reliability, including boilers, compressors, chillers, generators, wastewater and firefighting systems.
- Manage operational budgets, loss elimination, waste, downtime, inventory, working capital and capital improvement projects.
- Support plant upgrades, automation projects, commissioning and start-ups.
- Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation Engineering preferred; alternatively, significant batch chemical plant leadership experience.
- 7–9+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing, plant operations or production leadership.
- Strong people-management experience within a process manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of process control, unit operations, industrial safety, environmental and quality management systems.
- Experience with SAP and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Technical understanding of DCS, PLCs, MCCs, instrumentation, sensors, control valves, meters, alarms and industrial maintenance.
- Experience managing utilities, maintenance, industrial projects and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
