Job Summary:

The Electrical Assembly Lead coordinates daily activities within the electrical assembly area while performing advanced electrical integration and assembly work. This role provides hands-on leadership to Electrical Assemblers, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications are achieved. The Electrical Assembly Lead serves as the primary technical resource for complex electrical assemblies, control panels, power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, sensors, motors, pumps, and large-scale cooling system integrations.

This position works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Test, and Production leadership to resolve technical issues, drive productivity, and support employee development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily workflow within the electrical assembly area to support production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Perform advanced electrical assembly, wiring, testing, and integration activities while supporting production needs.
  • Assign and coordinate work activities to ensure production, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.
  • Support complex electrical integrations involving control panels, power distribution systems, sensors, motors, relays, terminal blocks, switches, and associated wiring.
  • Monitor production flow and elevate material, quality, tooling, or staffing concerns as needed.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, engineering drawings, and work instructions to support production and resolve assembly issues.
  • Train, coach, and support Electrical Assemblers on assembly methods, workmanship standards, electrical safety, testing procedures, and process compliance.
  • Coordinate on-job training (OJT) and cross-training activities within the work area.
  • Support Engineering and Quality teams with troubleshooting, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and implementation of engineering changes.
  • Review and verify wiring accuracy, component installation, labeling, testing results, and workmanship standards.
  • Communicate production status, quality concerns, and operational priorities to team members and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, 5S, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in electrical assembly, industrial electrical systems, control panel wiring, HVAC controls, electromechanical assembly, or related electrical trades required.
  • Experience with complex electrical integrations, control panels, motors, sensors, relays, power distribution systems, and electromechanical assemblies required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting wiring, component, testing, and integration issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support technicians in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment, multimeters, continuity testers, torque tools, and crimping equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within manufacturing systems and software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10-12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation; mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.
