Job Description: We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic Manager of Marketing & Communications (Mar Com) to lead, innovate, and elevate our marketing, branding, and communication strategies across our portfolio of single-family and multi-family rental properties. This role will manage digital marketing initiatives, oversee brand identity and creative direction, streamline CRM processes, train and empower sales and service teams, drive lead generation, and bolster our market presence, brand equity, and reputation.
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of property management marketing dynamics and a proven ability to deliver strategic campaigns that meet and exceed business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Marketing & Communications: Develop, articulate, and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend forecasting to identify growth opportunities and emerging demands. Direct comprehensive communication plans covering media relations, content creation and distribution, community engagement, investor relations, and public relations.
Digital Marketing & Website Management: Oversee the company website for accuracy, user experience, mobile responsiveness, and SEO (keyword optimization, content creation, meta-tagging, link-building) with analytics tracking (Google Analytics, SEMrush, or comparable tools).
Plan, implement, and optimize digital campaigns (PPC, SEO, email marketing, remarketing, and other channels) to maximize lead generation and brand visibility. Analyze and report on metrics to improve ROI and conversions.
Brand Management & Creative Direction: Enforce brand guidelines across digital and print materials, advertising, and corporate communications. Direct creative in design elements, digital assets, marketing collateral, multimedia campaigns, and promotional videos. Ensure consistent branding across properties and channels.
Social Media & Reputation Management: Develop social media strategies to foster engagement and increase visibility on platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Twitter, and emerging channels). Monitor online reputation, respond professionally to feedback, and use insights to improve practices and customer satisfaction.
CRM Management & Training: Optimize CRM systems to improve lead management, follow-up, and conversion rates. Deliver training for sales and service teams on CRM proficiency (App Folio, Tenant Turner, Lead Simple, Birdeye), relationship-building, lead nurturing, and fair housing compliance. Provide ongoing coaching and performance support to drive occupancy and satisfaction.
Property Marketing: Develop data-driven marketing plans to rapidly fill vacancies in single-family and multi-family portfolios. Use market intelligence to adjust strategies for competitiveness and effectiveness.
Leadership & Team Development: Partner with HR on job postings and employer branding; assist in candidate attraction and recruitment process optimization. Oversee employee development, training, performance management, and career growth initiatives.
Budget & Financial Management: Develop and manage marketing budgets, monitor ROI, and adapt plans to maximize profitability and growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 5 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
Extensive experience in digital marketing (SEO, PPC, social media, email, content, CRM).
Proficiency in Word Press, Google Analytics, real estate listing platforms (e.g., Zillow, ), and property management software (e.g., Yardi, App Folio).
Strong branding, graphic design understanding, and creative experience.
Knowledge of fair housing laws, compliance, and industry best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, media relations, and cross-functional collaboration. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
