Principal Function
The Minister of Mobilization for Ministry and Missions helps Shiloh Baptist Church move from intention to consistent participation by organizing and coordinating volunteer involvement, supporting ministry teams, and ensuring that the church’s missions and ministry efforts are effectively executed. This role provides the structure, follow-through, and support necessary for members to engage in ministry opportunities in ways that are meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with the church’s mission.

Approximately 15 hours per week, consisting of Sunday responsibilities, weekly staff meetings, ministry team coordination, and personal preparation, with regular attendance expected during scheduled ministry activities as appropriate to this role.
Key Responsibilities Volunteer Mobilization Assist members in finding places to serve by maintaining clear pathways and helping ministry leaders connect volunteers to opportunities. Support the onboarding and follow-up processes necessary for volunteers to serve effectively. Help ministry teams track participation and ensure people are engaged where they have committed.Ministry Support and Coordination Help ministry team leaders plan, schedule, and carry out their responsibilities. Participate in regular ministry team leader meetings to stay informed and offer coordinated support without assuming leadership of those ministries. Provide organizational and administrative support to help pastoral staff manage timelines, communication, and follow-through on assigned tasks. Ensure alignment of ministry efforts with the mission and values of Shiloh Baptist Church.Missions Support and Engagement Work with the Senior Pastor to strengthen church-wide missions education programs for adults, youth, and children, including assisting with planning and executing the church’s seasonal mission offering campaigns that support those mission efforts. Coordinate with denominational partners, mission agencies, and organizations such as Everyone’s Wilson to align Shiloh’s work with broader missional initiatives. Assist with communication, volunteer involvement, and logistical support for mission activities as needed.Ministry Progress Tracking Track ministry activity and outcomes to clarify how ministry efforts are progressing and where additional support may be needed. Provide regular updates regarding volunteer participation, ministry needs, and missions involvement to the Senior Pastor and ministry leaders as appropriate. Maintain the schedules, calendars, and communication systems necessary to keep ministry teams informed, aligned, and on task.Ministerial Responsibilities Serve as a member of the church’s ministerial staff, demonstrating a mature Christian walk and commitment to the mission of Shiloh Baptist Church. Preach, teach, or lead devotionals as assigned by the Senior Pastor. Uphold biblical qualifications for ministry, maintain confidentiality, and model servant leadership.Qualifications
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating spiritual maturity and a lifestyle consistent with biblical standards, and willing to join and actively participate in Shiloh Baptist Church upon call to this position.
- Meets biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership and is ordained or able to pursue ordination under church procedures.
- Demonstrated strength in organization, coordination, and follow-through.
- Experience in ministry, missions involvement, or team leadership preferred.
- Competent in communication, task management, and collaboration with ministry teams.
- Able to work within established ministry structures and support the leadership direction of the Senior Pastor.
Compensation
Compensation not to exceed $26,000 annually, determined by qualifications and experience.
