The Development Manager is responsible for refining some systems and developing new Development systems that lead to a more effective and efficient process, while increasing major gifts, improving donor relations, managing the annual individual giving campaign and luncheon, fostering board relationships, maximizing the effectiveness of New Ballet's special events, and coordinating all development activities.
Qualifications & Requirements- Strong management skills with non-profit development experience
- Demonstrated success in developing strategic plans, building positive board relationships, and knowledge of fundraising strategies
- 5+ years of experience working in a non-profit, community-based organization, school, or youth-serving agency
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact in racially, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse environments
- Proactive, optimistic, conscientious, and goal-oriented
- Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively
- Experience creating an Annual Report with the Marketing contractor
- Proficient with the industry-standard Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding advocate of New Ballet Ensemble & School’s mission
- Valid driver's license
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends for special events
- Participate in and co-develop a comprehensive development strategy that meets New Ballet’s annual operating goals and lays the groundwork for increasing contributed revenue
- Support and monitor the annual fund and sponsor ships, implementing new strategies and retention efforts to increase revenue
- Organize, lead, and support tours and the annual luncheon
- Support the ED and development committee in major gift fundraising
- Manage the individual giving letter campaign
- Track donor receivables systematically
- Establish timelines for staff to produce materials, reports, evaluations, and preparation for tours
- Support the ED in building relationships with government, foundations, and corporations for institutional fundraising
- Support senior leadership in motivating and strengthening the Board through board fundraising activities and the Development Committee
- Collaborate with staff, trustees, and volunteers to maximize the effectiveness of New Ballet’s special events
- Monitor philanthropic revenue and expenses, support development budget formulation, track donor accounts receivable and pledges, and control the development department expense budget
- Coordinate internal and external donor communications, developing a cohesive donor communication plan
- Experience managing Salesforce donor software and/or comparable systems
- Experience developing or working on a comprehensive capital campaign
- Donor concierge experience
- Event management experience

- Compensation: 70000 – 80000
