Next Steps Coordinator
At The Life Church, we are passionate about doing all we can to help people move forward in their walk with God. The Next Steps Coordinator plays a vital role in this mission by leading a thriving volunteer team, creating environments where people feel known and loved, and partnering with individuals to help shape a lasting faith. They oversee multiple teams and areas of ministry that are pivotal in the spiritual development of people.
We value experience in ministry, but what we're looking for is a high-energy, proven leader in recruiting, developing, and caring for others. An ideal candidate is someone who loves the local church and wants to bring dynamism, excellence, and spiritual leadership to its people.
What You Will Do:
- Support the Location Pastor in building a life-giving, vibrant culture at The Life Church
- Create meaningful Discovery experiences by driving attendance and impact through proactive communication, preparing environments and lessons, and leading the team with clarity and purpose
- Lead the Fresh Start Team to ensure that every person who makes a Fresh Start is supported
- Develop leaders and build the Life Group culture while taking responsibility for effectiveness and measurable outcomes
- Strategically support the Location Pastor in mobilizing and coordinating high-level pastoral care
- Oversee Water Baptisms by coordinating all registrant touchpoints and managing logistics to ensure a seamless, celebratory moment for every person
- Facilitate the local experience for Leadership Foundations, Courses and Life Leadership Bible School by promoting enrollment and providing on-site support for participants.
- Lead and develop the Next Steps volunteer team to serve with passion and consistency
- Provide leadership to ensure Outreach teams are structured and mobilized to serve the city through Serve Days, Doorstep Delivery and Community engagement
- Provide leadership during weekend services, regular office hours, and occasional evenings for volunteer connections and special events
What You Bring:
- Proven track record of leadership, preferably in a ministry, team, education, or service-based environment
- Commitment to modeling the following qualities:
Integrity, Positive Attitude, Work Ethic, Excellence, Team Player, Achievement, Development, Humility, Commitment and Intuition - Strong relational and communication skills, with the ability to lead adults and relate well with individuals
- Love for the local church and a desire to invest in and develop others
- High personal standards in organization, follow-through, data management, privacy and team development
- Comfort with digital tools and a willingness to learn new systems
- Genuine love for people and a passion to help them grow personally and spiritually
- Flexible, team-first attitude and the ability to lead both people and projects with humility and excellence
