Housing Services Outreach VISTA
For more than 50 years, Catholic Charities of West Tennessee has provided hope, dignity, and pathways toward stability for individuals and families experiencing poverty throughout West Tennessee. Located in Memphis, CCWTN provides housing services, food assistance, clothing, emergency assistance, and connections to community resources. As the Housing Services Outreach VISTA, you will strengthen CCWTN’s capacity to promote long‑term housing stability for individuals, families, and veterans who have completed housing programs.
You will assess existing outreach practices and develop sustainable systems for post‑exit follow‑up, volunteer engagement, community partnerships, data collection, outcome measurement, and reporting. During your service year, you will develop outreach workflows and tools, build partnerships with churches, universities, and community organizations, create volunteer recruitment and training resources, implement and evaluate a pilot outreach system, and develop dashboards and reports that measure program outcomes.
You will conclude your service by creating an operations manual, sustainability plan, and transition resources that enable staff and volunteers to continue the program.
The VISTA will build sustainable systems that strengthen long‑term housing stability efforts at Catholic Charities of West Tennessee. The VISTA will design and implement standardized processes for post‑exit follow‑up, data collection, outcome tracking, and reporting; develop partnerships with churches, universities, and community organizations; create volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training resources; implement and evaluate a pilot outreach system; analyze program outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement;
and prepare an operations manual, training resources, partnership guides, data tools, and a transition plan for staff and volunteers after the VISTA service year.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, mission‑driven, and comfortable developing new systems and relationships. Strong communication, writing, technical, data, and project coordination skills are valuable.
