Job Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the assigned care setting. Collaborates with physicians, leadership, co-workers, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Delivers high-quality care using critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate, respectful practices. Preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights, aiming to restore health when possible. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical conditions.
• Administer medications as prescribed, with knowledge of ordered medications.
• Provide care suitable to the patient's condition and age, including basic self-care activities.
• Develop and evaluate teaching plans based on identified learning needs, involving family as appropriate.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical and manual skills.
• Address psychosocial needs of patients and families; coordinate with social services for hospital and post-discharge needs.
• Practice cost-effective care, minimizing waste of supplies, linen, and charge items.
• Prioritize patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Promote patient safety by minimizing risks associated with healthcare.
• Commit to lifelong learning in the nursing profession.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy.
• RN license; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: ACLS/PALS Specialty Certification.
