Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Stepdown: 13-week travel contract in Midtown Memphis, TN. Immediate opportunity for experienced Med/Surg RNs interested in travel nursing jobs in Tennessee.

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Stepdown
• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Midtown) — local culture, music scene, and dining
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract / W2 Travel Nurse
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: March 23, 2026 – End: June 22, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00); 36 or 48 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Setting: Medical-Surgical / Neuro Stepdown at a Level I Trauma Center

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a large hospital (3+ years preferred)
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Active RN license in Tennessee or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state — must be current at submission
• ADN accepted; BSN preferred but not required for this unit
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at submission

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to Med/Surg and Neuro Stepdown patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma environment
• Perform frequent neuro assessments, telemetry monitoring, and early identification of changes in neurological status
• Administer medications, manage IV/infusion therapies, and document accurately in Cerner or other EMR systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Float to like units as needed and provide coverage for weekends and holidays
• Participate in team nursing ratios and communicate effectively with leadership and peers
