Med/Surg LPN travel opportunity on nights at a Level I Trauma Center in Midtown Memphis. Join a fast-paced cardiac Med/Surg unit caring for adult and geriatric patients while enjoying Midtown Memphis culture and attractions.

• Position: Medical/Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Travel (Night Shift)
• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 – Midtown (near Beale Street, Overton Park)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,230 – $1,300
• Unit: 5 North Med/Surg (Cardiac Med/Surg focus; Telemetry)
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 48 beds, average daily census 42

• Minimum 2 years of recent LPN/LVN experience in Medical/Surgical nursing at a large hospital or Level I Trauma Center
• Active LPN/LVN license compliant with NLC guidelines (no pending licenses)
• IV Certification required; proficiency with IV therapy and IV starts
• Travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers considered with 3+ years recent experience)
• BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with Telemetry, rhythm strip verification, and cardiac Med/Surg protocols
• Epic or similar electronic health record (EHR) charting experience preferred
• Must be available for weekend/on-call shifts and able to work 2 of 3 major holidays if they fall during assignment
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• All requested time off must be included with submission

• Provide high-quality bedside care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients on a busy cardiac-focused unit
• Support patients with CHF, AMI, post-cath lab care, pacemaker placements, and ablations; verify rhythm strips and administer protocol-driven medications
• Initiate and maintain IV therapy within LPN scope, perform IV starts as needed
• Collaborate with RNs, PCCs, and interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy) for coordinated patient care
• Accurately document assessments, vitals, medication administration, and patient education in the electronic health record (Epic preferred)
• Participate in team nursing with typical patient ratio 1:7 and provide flexible coverage/float as patient needs and staffing require
