Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least 2 years of recent oncology and trauma experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical Oncology unit within a Level I Trauma Center,

• Team nursing approach used for patient care,

• Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00,

• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed,

• Floating to similar units and campuses within 20 miles may be required, but is rare,

• Patient ratios determined by team nursing structure,

• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license from TN or compact state, held prior to start,

• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology med/surg RN experience required,

• Level I Trauma Center and large hospital experience required,

• At least one prior travel RN assignment completed; no first-time travelers unless 3 years recent experience,

• Current BLS certification required,

• ADN or higher nursing degree required,

• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Provide care for adult oncology patients in a high-acuity team environment,

• Expect holiday coverage; must work 2 of 3 major holidays if they fall within assignment,

• Strict 100-mile radius rule; locals not accepted,

• Returning employees must have a one-year separation before eligibility,

• All requested time off must be included at time of application; late requests will not be approved,

• Weekend block schedules may be considered upon request,
