Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN/LVN for a Medical-Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring IV certification and at least 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience.

Job Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center,

• Medical-Surgical unit with team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs, RNs, and others,

• Night shift, 7p-7a (3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts available; indicate shift preference when applying),

• On-call required as needed,

• Weekend coverage required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered,

• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active LPN/LVN license in the state of Tennessee or a valid NLC compact license (no pending licensure accepted); license required if applicable,

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred,

• IV certification is a firm requirement,

• Level I Trauma Center experience required,

• Large hospital experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted unless they have 3+ years of recent experience,

• ADN accepted for this position,

• Current BLS certification required,

• ACLS and NIHSS preferred,

• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,

• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial application; RTO requested after an offer has been extended will not be considered,

• If end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) fall within the assignment period, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked,

• Former permanent or internal associate travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler,

• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare,
