Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg - Neuro Stepdown position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a minimum of one completed prior travel assignment.

Job Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center,

• Medical Surgical / Neuro Stepdown unit,

• Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week,

• On-call required as needed,

• Weekends required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered,

• Team nursing ratios in effect - details discussed during the manager interview,

• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may be required, though cross-campus floating is rare,

• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - TN state license or NLC Compact license required; no pending licensure accepted,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred,

• At least one completed prior travel assignment required - first-time travelers are not eligible,

• Level I Trauma Center experience required,

• Large hospital experience required,

• ADN accepted for this position; BSN not required,

• BLS certification required,

• Driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted,

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be honored,

• Holiday coverage: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered,

• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler,
