Medcor is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Nurse in our employer‑based occupational health clinic in Memphis, TN. The clinic operates 6:00am–6:30pm. Since this is on an as‑needed basis there are no guaranteed hours. If you have the availability to pick up an occasional shift we invite you to apply.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
- Provide patient care and ongoing workers’ compensation case management.
- Facilitate the Return to Work (RTW) program and monitor treatment plans.
- Work closely with outside medical providers.
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on‑site clinic.
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs).
- Build and maintain internal team relationships.
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
- Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
- Document care using state‑of‑the‑art EMR and other tools.
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
- Manage case documentation and OSHA record‑keeping.
- Perform medical charting.
- Hold valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the position applied for.
- Have current CPR/BLS certification.
- Have strong computer and technology skills; familiarity with EMR software.
- Have the physical strength to lift a 50lb emergency response bag.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a positive, outgoing personality and a passion for caring for people.
- Be willing to go above and beyond and to have fun in the role.
- Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
- Relevant occupational health experience.
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
