Cardiac Registered Nurse
Tri Star Hendersonville Medical Center, a 150-bed hospital, is seeking a Cardiac Registered Nurse to provide high quality patient care.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication, maintains a safe environment, identifies nursing problems, plans individualized care, and participates in performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
- Identify nursing problems and plan individualized care using an interdisciplinary approach.
- Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least one year of registered nurse experience required; acute care RN experience preferred.
