Licensed Practical Nurse
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center. The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing nursing practice on the unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications include a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Tennessee, and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. Educational strategies with a special education population, individual and group management skills, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development; limit setting and crisis and behavior management are also required.
