Instructor​/Assistant Professor - College of Nursing

Job Description

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Nursing is seeking a full-time non‑tenure Instructor/Assistant Professor.

• Primary teaching responsibilities include RN to BSN concentration.
• Teaching responsibilities include both didactic coursework and clinical supervision of students.
• Responsibilities include undergraduate in‑person and online didactic and clinical teaching.
• Additional teaching responsibilities include teaching across programs and/or concentrations.
• Research/scholarship activities, as well as service responsibilities, will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.

• Master’s Degree in a nursing specialty from an accredited university required.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree preferred.
• Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

• Teaching experience in an RN to BSN or BSN program preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development, in‑person, and online teaching preferred.
• Simulation experience preferred.
• Evidence of scholarship and professional service activities is preferred.
