RN Nurse, Oncology Nurse
Position Overview
The RN will serve as a key liaison between patients, families, and providers to ensure a positive patient experience and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate communication between patients and providers.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
- Perform key administrative duties.
- Provide telephone triage and patient support as needed.
- Support care coordination and patient navigation throughout the healthcare system.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license in the state of practice (or Compact License).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- IV/Infusion Therapy Knowledge.
- Knowledgeable of medication administering guidelines and therapies as well as chart review.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Excellent customer service and compassion for patients.
- Strong computer and documentation skills.
- Ability to problem solve and manage difficult situations professionally.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
- Frequent patient interaction, including exposure to body fluids and hazardous medications.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
An RN with oncology, outpatient clinic, therapy experience who enjoys patient education and building relationships with patients in a Monday–Friday outpatient setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based in Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 per hour.
