Registered Nurse – PICU

Pediatric Intensive Care Nursing Opportunity

Providing specialized pediatric intensive care nursing for critically ill children, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires strong clinical expertise and adherence to strict compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient status continuously, recognizing and responding quickly to changes in condition.
• Document all clinical activities thoroughly in EPIC and other necessary systems.
• Comply with facility policies, including travel, vaccination, and rehire guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state or a compact license complying with NLC guidelines.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent pediatric ICU nursing experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Have completed a minimum of one prior travel assignment in a critical care setting.
• Show proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Be willing to work day shifts, 3×12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00.
• Maintain current BLS certification; additional pediatric advanced life support (PALS) preferred.
