American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Circulator for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience with prior travel or 3 years without, plus a TN or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license in the state, or a compact RN license (TN or compact) that complies with NLC guidelines
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment, or 3+ years of OR experience without travel history
- Pediatric OR experience required
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted
- BSN required for this position
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Vaccination status documentation required
- Work in the Operating Room department of a pediatric hospital
- Pediatric surgical patient population
- Functions as an RN Circulator
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
- On-call responsibilities required, with specifics discussed during interview
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare
- Serve as RN Circulator supporting pediatric surgical cases in the Operating Room
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
- Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year s all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
- Former permanent staff or travelers previously employed at the facility must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Any certifications set to expire during the assignment must have a documented renewal plan
