Position: Assistant/Associate Professor - Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (College of Nursing)

Job Posting

The College of Nursing Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor. This faculty position will be responsible for the coordination and teaching within the BSN and DNP Program for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Concentration with potential opportunities to contribute to PhD-level education based on qualifications, expertise, and program needs.

UT Health Sciences embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care, and institutional service.

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching both didactic coursework and experiential supervision of students in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Research/scholarship activities, clinical practice, as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Doctoral Degree from an accredited university required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two or more years of substantive clinical practice expertise as an Advanced Practice Nurse in psychiatric-mental health nursing is required.

LICENSES:
Certification/recertification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required. Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required.

DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES:
Prior clinical and didactic teaching experience is preferred. Previous leadership experience and active engagement in appropriate professional organizations is highly desired.
