Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Medical Surgical RN Opportunity

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN to join a Level I Trauma Center for night shift coverage. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care in the medical-surgical setting, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, document assessments, and update electronic medical records accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including PCCs and other nurses, to develop and execute care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, providing interventions as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines, including trauma and infection control standards.
• Assist with patient education regarding health status and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state or current compact licensure compliant with NLC guidelines.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts, with flexibility for occasional on-call and holiday work.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Current BLS certification; renewal plan required if expiring during assignment.
