LVN​/LPN – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in Medical Surgical to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be capable of working night shifts and adapting to a fast-paced trauma environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit, following physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess condition changes, and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including RNs and PCCs, to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety regulations.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Complete required documentation and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN license in the state or eligible for compact licensure per NLC guidelines.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work night shifts (6/21/2024).
• BLS certification current and active.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
