Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join a large hospital team for night shifts. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical unit, ensuring optimal outcomes and adherence to clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical surgical patients during night shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including PCCs and LPNs, to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, respond to changes, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and compliance regulations, including travel and licensing requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing education to ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state or a NLC-compliant compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a medical surgical setting; 3+ years preferred.
• Proven experience in Level I or Level 2 Trauma Centers is preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience and EPIC EMR experience are advantageous.
• Must submit a copy of a Driver’s license at the time of application.
• Willingness to work night shifts and comply with strict travel and holiday requirements.
