Description:
Medical Surgical LPN IV Certified is a firm requirement. Start date is ASAP. Shift is during nights. Years of experience required is 2 years of recent experience in this specialty. Patient ratio is 1:7 with team nursing; ratios may be higher with support from PCC, RN, etc. First-timers not accepted unless they have 3+ years of recent experience. On-call may be required as needed.
Weekends required as needed. No accommodations for block schedules. Strictly, no local applicants within a 100-mile radius will be considered. Pending licenses are not accepted; all travelers must comply with NLC guidelines. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. This facility is a short-term acute care and Level I Trauma Center. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Daily census is 42 patients with 48 beds. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Common patient diagnoses include cardiac medical-surgical cases, CHF, AMI, post catheterization, PPM placements, and ablations. All travelers must have completed at least one prior travel assignment. An active LPN license is required.
EPIC experience is preferred. Rehire eligibility must be confirmed before submission. Travelers may be floated between like units if necessary.
