American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Team nursing model with a 1:12 ratio split among 2 RNs, an LPN, and a Med Nurse
• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered, to be discussed during interview
• Floating may occur between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius

• Active RN license in TN or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ADN accepted for this position
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience administering chemotherapy and conscious sedation preferred

• Provide direct patient care within a team nursing model on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 5+ years of specialty experience
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered, no local candidates accepted
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3 holidays
• If only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• All requested time off must be submitted prior to starting the assignment for consideration
