Seeking a Day Surgery Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee daily operations in a surgical department, ensuring quality patient care while meeting organizational and medical staff goals.
Key Responsibilities Include- Managing department operations independently under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring staff members
- Preparing reports for nurse managers and coordinating patient care activities
- Assessing staff competencies and making patient care assignments
- Maintaining communication with management regarding unit needs and incidents
- Performing related duties to support efficient nursing services
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- At least one year of RN experience
- Current applicable state RN licensure and BLS certification
- ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NRP certifications required within specified time frames, depending on department
- Preferred:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
Skills: Leadership, communication, staff coordination, operational management, and clinical competence in a surgical setting.
