- Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Communicate and educate clients
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Handle pharmacy duties, including prescription and controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations
- Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards
- Participate in practice‑management updates and training
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration maintained
- 1+ years’ experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills
- Team‑oriented work style
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care
- Client communication skills, including rapport building and information elicitation
- Confidence in handling stressed or ill animals
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical tasks
- Clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations
- Problem‑solving ability for hospital management challenges
- Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff
- Professionalism in providing constructive feedback
- Business acumen related to hospital finances
- Knowledge of veterinary ethics
- Commitment to continuing education and facilitating others’ learning
