, a long‑established and highly respected practice in East Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated Medical Director (Veterinarian) to join our amazing team. We provide comprehensive, compassionate care to our loyal clients and their beloved companions, and we're looking for a doctor who shares our passion. The ideal candidate will be a trusted leader who fosters excellence in veterinary care by mentoring and empowering the team, while cultivating a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

• Experienced Team: Join highly experienced DVMs and a cohesive team of dedicated, skilled technicians and assistants—many of whom have been with us for years.
• Passion for Growth: Doctors are strongly encouraged to pursue their areas of interest (our current team focuses on dentistry, behavior, and internal medicine). Work up cases thoroughly in‑house while having easy access to specialist referrals for complex challenges.

  • Oversees and gives directives regarding medical standards and quality of care
  • Sets policies as they pertain to the practice of medicine
  • Works toward making various services work as one team
  • In conjunction with appropriate leadership team members, recommends additions to the hospital inventory
  • Budgets for new equipment and provides a reasonable cost estimate and return on investment
  • Sees patients and handles clinical practice
  • Ensures positive communication with clients and between doctors, including the proper transfer of patient care responsibilities
  • Reviews patient records for completeness and accuracy and uses them to promote medical excellence
  • Appropriately manages controlled drugs
  • Reviews and approves requests for alternatives to additional drugs and medical supplies
