Position: Inspector 1 - 3rd Shift

Inspector 1 (Memphis Holmes Road, TN) 3rd shift

The Inspector 1 shall be responsible for performing basic visual/dimensional/functional inspections of products manufactured and assembled in‑house, determining whether or not each product meets specifications, and documenting these decisions. The Roving Inspector 1 will also conduct inspections on operators performing a variety of processes on the operations floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect assembled, semi‑finished, and finished products per inspection procedures, drawings, and printed specifications.
  • Use attribute and variable measuring equipment and mating parts to determine as‑found and as‑left conditions.
  • Support qualification and validation processes for company products.
  • Review product documentation to verify acceptability per specification and QSR requirements.
  • Support departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Represent and promote quality standards.
  • Inspect operators performing processes on the operations floor.
  • Perform other quality functions as required.
  • Train other inspectors on required tasks.
  • Apply good manufacturing practices.
  • Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and blueprints.
  • Detect nonconformities during repetitive inspections.
  • Make judgments against applicable specifications.
  • Operate automated inspection equipment such as vision systems and digital comparators.
  • Work independently and within a team setting.
  • Document results accurately and neatly.
  • Work in a manufacturing and/or clean‑room environment.
  • Communicate inspection results clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0+ years of experience in a related field and/or inspecting products per procedures, drawings, and printed specifications using attribute and variable measuring equipment.
  • Predominant experience in documentation comparison and review.
