Inspector 1 (Memphis Holmes Road, TN) 3rd shift
The Inspector 1 shall be responsible for performing basic visual/dimensional/functional inspections of products manufactured and assembled in‑house, determining whether or not each product meets specifications, and documenting these decisions. The Roving Inspector 1 will also conduct inspections on operators performing a variety of processes on the operations floor.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect assembled, semi‑finished, and finished products per inspection procedures, drawings, and printed specifications.
- Use attribute and variable measuring equipment and mating parts to determine as‑found and as‑left conditions.
- Support qualification and validation processes for company products.
- Review product documentation to verify acceptability per specification and QSR requirements.
- Support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Represent and promote quality standards.
- Inspect operators performing processes on the operations floor.
- Perform other quality functions as required.
- Train other inspectors on required tasks.
- Apply good manufacturing practices.
- Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and blueprints.
- Detect nonconformities during repetitive inspections.
- Make judgments against applicable specifications.
- Operate automated inspection equipment such as vision systems and digital comparators.
- Work independently and within a team setting.
- Document results accurately and neatly.
- Work in a manufacturing and/or clean‑room environment.
- Communicate inspection results clearly and effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0+ years of experience in a related field and/or inspecting products per procedures, drawings, and printed specifications using attribute and variable measuring equipment.
- Predominant experience in documentation comparison and review.
