Quality Technician I
Quality Technician I’s primary responsibilities are the simple evaluation of function of electronic products and the inspection of finished and purchased products, raw materials, and miscellaneous supplies by performing visual, basic dimensional, and documentation inspection per specified procedures or instructions within the framework of the FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ISO 13485 standards.
Responsibilities- Perform routine visual inspection of partially complete, complete, or packaged products per procedure, specification, print, catalog, and/or visual standard.
- Inspect products per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, tape, height gauge, etc.) and functional testing (measuring current/voltage using a multimeter and/or measuring impedance using an impedance analyzer).
- Review product documentation to verify acceptability per specification and GMP requirements.
- Evaluate EXOGEN devices returned due to field complaints and determine the cause of product failure.
- Complete documentation of inspection results and special studies when required.
- Use inventory management software to record work-in-process, inventory transactions and collect SPC data.
- Document results using good documentation practices (GDP) and record deviation data in appropriate systems.
- Perform all related duties as defined by the supervisor.
- Hold oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies, procedures, and internal controls applicable to the role.
- Associate’s degree or two years of education from a technical school in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or as an Electronics Technician.
- Experience inspecting parts to drawings using measuring instruments (micrometer and calipers) and knowledge of Algebra, Trigonometry, general manufacturing processes, and quality control instruments; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to use or learn SAP and other PC programs.
- Ability to analyze information and assess issues.
