A Day in the Life

This role will be responsible for processing virtual inspections for the Memphis Manufacturing organization utilizing SAP Quality Module, Advanced Shipment Notice, & Supplier Quality Module. Additional responsibilities include completing inspections of product physically located at the Memphis Manufacturing site. We're working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Performs analyses, inspection, and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, quantitative assays on samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
  • Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.
  • Performs required inspections, checks, analysis and documentation of studies.
  • Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.
  • Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.
  • Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product

Must Have:
Minimum Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge of systems, techniques, tools and procedures typically obtained through prior related work experience, training, and/or education.
  • Requires 5+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.

Nice to Have:

  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience
  • Experience with Winshuttle, SAP Quality Module, Advanced Shipment Notice, Supplier Quality Module, and sterile release knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)
  • Exposure to Lean, continuous improvement, or basic Six Sigma
  • Strong cross-functional communication with manufacturing and engineering
  • Ability to mentor others, work independently, and escalate issues appropriately
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, and documentation practices
  • Inspection experience and familiarity with measurement tools
  • Ability to read drawings, specs, and tolerances
