Technician - Quality Control
This position's primary responsibility will be for all Production work cells' quality as it relates to raw material, machining functions, assembly, CNC, and packaging. Other duties as assigned.
Testing, assessing products and quality processes
-Ensuring specifications are met and built into products Responsible for identifying product defects or potential issues by determining what to do to resolve them Responsible for sending product back through the processes for rework or scrap Record and report issues to lead, supervisor, upper management before reaching customers May be asked to report or represent Pemko to Vendors on quality-related items Maintain records of checks and process audits and report out on the results Support process improvements through recommendations and application of Root Cause Analysis May be responsible for making repairs or resolving minor issues to avoid reworking or scrapping material
Safety consciousness Bending, twisting, and reaching; walk/stand for long periods of time; and be able to lift to 50 pounds Have existing product knowledge from raw material to finished goods of Pemko Products Read, understand, and communicate effectively Work quickly but accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet production demands Take and carry out directions Must be able to work independently but collaboratively across team and plant personnel Able to product test (read tape measure, use calipers, scale, optical comparator, and depth gauge, etc.)
PC Skills—Word, Excel, JDE SOP's, Work Instruction and Standard Work—Creation and Edit experience desired. Problem-solving skills—5 whys Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in one-on-one and group settings
