Job Description
Faculty Members (FULL, ASSOCIATE or ASSISTANT level) are sought for the Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control e Children’s Research Hospital. The department’s mission is to conduct implementation science research that complements an established program of clinical, biological, and population‑health studies among survivors of childhood cancer. We aim to translate findings into effective strategies to prevent or reduce cancer‑treatment‑related complications and to improve the quality of life for childhood cancer survivors.
This position offers extensive opportunities for stand‑alone implementation science research and integration into existing studies, including the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study and the St. Jude Lifetime Cohort. The candidate will work with a diverse team of investigators in epidemiology, biostatistics, oncology, genetics, psychology, exercise science, and health behavior research, and will collaborate across cancer center programs.
Responsibilities- Lead independent implementation science research projects that complement ongoing cohort studies.
- Design and evaluate interventions to optimize health outcomes for childhood cancer survivors.
- Collaborate with laboratory‑ and clinic‑based researchers to translate research into clinical care.
- Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and secure external funding through grants.
- Mentor trainees and contribute to the department’s postdoctoral program.
- PhD or equivalent degree required.
- At least three years of relevant postgraduate experience.
- Proven track record of research productivity, evidenced through grant funding and peer‑reviewed publications.
- Expertise and experience in implementation science.
