Researcher -Center Advanced Genome Engineering

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Researcher to join our Center for Advanced Genome Engineering (CAGE). The CAGE has three missions:

• Facilitate investigator-initiated genome editing projects using CRISPR technology
• Perform independent R&D to evaluate and develop new genome editing techniques
• Assist the gene and cell therapy programs e Children's Research Hospital

The CAGE offers a strong team-based environment where you will work collaboratively with other investigators across the institution to support their research needs and develop and improve genome engineering technologies.

• Assist in designing and implementing genome editing strategies
• Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, and DNA/RNA extraction
• Maintain and culture cell lines
• Collect and analyze experimental data
• Collaborate with team members and investigators

• Basic understanding of molecular biology techniques
• Familiarity with CRISPR-Cas9 technology (training provided)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with cell culture is a plus
• Interest in learning new technologies

• Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $24.00 - $42.00 per hour for the role of Researcher - Center for Advanced Genome Engineering.
