Postdoctoral Scholar
THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL MARCH 1, 2029
The Department of Pharmacology seeks a postdoctoral scholar to execute animal behavior models and cellular patch-clamp electrophysiology to investigate the neurobiology of addiction.
ResponsibilitiesEDUCATION:
Ph.D. in the field of Neuroscience, Neuropharmacology, or a similar field.
EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year of experience in electrophysiology in models of stress/addiction using rodents or a similar field. One publication in a related field is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to actively contribute to manuscript writing.
- Ability to perform rodent brain tissue dissections and the whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology necessary to execute the group's proposed research questions.
- Ability to work independently and train students in the laboratory.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position may occasionally be required to work weekends.
