Retail & Store Manager
Auto Zone's Category Manager develops and implements a buying philosophy, a pricing philosophy and a marketing strategy, develops and maintains vendor relationships, and manages all aspects of their categories.
Responsibilities- Participates in all team activities and decisions.
- Analyzes market research and to effectively put the right products in the right stores at the right prices.
- Uses information from sales, gross profit and various ad hoc reports to make sure their assigned categories meet established performance targets.
- Adds and deletes products in response to industry changes and customer demands.
- Tests new products and troubleshoots supply chain issues.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Five to seven years experience, preferably in a retail operations environment.
- Prior experience in merchandising, purchasing and manufacturing a plus. Strong financial acumen and communication skills.
- Strong retail foundation, vendor management and analytical skills.
