Store Sales Associate responsible for customer service, sales, and store operations in a value-priced retail environment.

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances his/her register according to company policy
• Calls out prices for customers when ringing a transaction
• Bags merchandise efficiently at the point of sale
• Handles cash, checks and credit cards according to company policy
• Obtains management approval for returns, voids, and checks as needed
• Performs maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customer in a timely fashion, and thanking customers for shopping
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
• Assists management with tasks as requested per company policy
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Supports Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents, and following current policies

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
