Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance.

    Experience:

    Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of service.
  • Sales & Performance:
    Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
  • Financial Management:
    Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement:
    Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence.
  • Innovation & Problem‑Solving:
    Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or a similar role with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team.
  • Strong leadership with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Customer‑centric orientation to deliver outstanding service.
  • Analytical skills to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Tech‑savvy: proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications.
  • Open availability for opening and closing duties; minimum of 5 days per week and 44 hours weekly (plus peak periods). Minimum standard of a 30 hour week for supervisors.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Must speak, read, write, and perform basic mathematics in English.
  • Potential willingness to relocate within the company network for operational needs.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
Physical Demands

Requires prolonged standing 5–14 hours per day; long periods up to 12 hours during peak sales. Must stoop, kneel, reach, lift 5–25 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier weights. Requires good vision with color differentiation. Moderate noise tolerance.

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred.

Additional Duties

Employees may be asked to perform additional duties outside of normal job scope on a temporary or permanent basis per company policy.
